Healthcare
Guru Nanak charitable society has launched a healthcare program, a multi-faceted project that focuses on spreading awareness regarding health among the rural masses. We travel from village to village to provide free health check-ups and free medicine to the people. Health camps are organized in rural as well as urban areas of the country to help the poor to get healthcare free of cost.
People are seen to show up for further treatment in the recommended healthcare camps because those treatments are entirely funded by the Guru Nanak charity. We organized a general health camp for urban slum areas and we diagnosed the various health problems of the patients and provided free medicines to all patients and they went back fully satisfied with the services provided by Guru Nanak charity.
COVID-19
To protect people from COVID19 Guru Nanak charitable society has provided free PPE kits and N95 masks to the general public who are living in the rural areas. Moreover, we also provided free hand sanitizers to stop the spread of COVID19.
WE ALSO PROVIDED MONETARY HELP FOR COVID 19 PATIENTS IN VARIOUS HOSPITALS. In our camps, we also urge people to practice social distancing in order to break the chain of COVID-19 transmission.
AIDS/HIV Awareness Camps: -
Our AIDS/HIV Awareness Camps help to raise awareness about AIDS disease. HIV/AIDS remains a major developmental challenge affecting all sectors. By the end of the year 2011, at least 36 million people worldwide were living with HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS, 2011). Positive results are beginning to be seen in India. In the absence of a cure, prevention has become the principal strategy of dealing with the HIV/AIDS problem. This is done through HIV/AIDS education as a social vaccine that mainly targets children below 14 years of age. Guru Nanak Charitable Society advocates for a multi-sectoral approach to dealing with the HIV/AIDS problem, efforts by the Volunteers have been noteworthy. They include HIV/AIDS awareness programs in red light areas and education about safe sex practices.
